Language is culture. And funny sometimes.
Notes from a language lover, suburban would-be cultural theorist, international relations Masters student, and strident (but often failed) anti-mummy-blogger.
The Blondie and Brownie pages are snippets of conversation from my boys, aged 10 and 7, which I thought were pretty funny, cute and/or insightful - you know, culture at work and all that. This is the failed bit (see above).
Bumper Edition satisfies a quasi obsession with the cultural messages of vehicle licence plates, bumper stickers and window decals. Fortunately, where I live seems to be a hotspot for these items. Or perhaps unfortunately.
The views here are my own, just mine, no-one else's, unless otherwise acknowledged.

Part 1 – the villain Four Year Old, earnestly: “Mum, do you know what happened to Darth Vader?” JB, all ears: “No?” Four Year Old, in hushed tones: “He went down the dark slide.” JB [pause]: “Ohhhh….”
