The Hero’s Journey from a seven-year-old’s perspective

Part 2 – establish your hero!

Four Year Old to Seven Year Old while both playing with Lego: “Look, I’ve swapped helmets so he’s the goodie now.”

Mr JB: “Actually boys, most of the time there’s not really any goodies and baddies, because both sides think they’re goodies.”

JB: “And sometimes both sides think they’re so right and good that they fight each other to prove their point.”

Seven Year Old: “There’s not much point being right if you’re dead.”

When I'm not writing I'm doing paid work in Communications or International Relations, being mum to two teenage boys, attempting to maintain a reasonable marriage, and constantly adjudicating the battle between my inner feminist and inner domestic goddess, goddammit.
